General questions

How accurate are the prayer times on this site?

The astronomical calculation is typically within one to two minutes of a clear-horizon observation. Local mosque sheets may add a precaution. Always follow your imam for congregational prayer.

Which method should English-speaking users pick?

Muslim World League is the site default. Use ISNA in the United States and Canada if that is what your mosque prints, Umm al-Qura in the Gulf, and Karachi with Hanafi Asr in Pakistan, Bangladesh and much of India.

Does daylight saving time affect salah?

Civil clocks move; the sun does not. This site uses IANA timezones, so DST is already folded into the displayed hours.

What is Qibla?

Qibla is the direction of the Kaaba in Makkah. This site reports degrees from true north, not magnetic north.

Can I embed the timetable on my site?

Yes. See the widget page for an iframe and a small JavaScript snippet.

Do you store my location?

Browser geolocation stays on your device unless you allow it. A city slug may be stored in a cookie so the homepage can reopen your last city. See the privacy policy.
